What the map adds to the broadcast
Television follows one car at a time. The live map shows the whole field. When a train forms behind a slower car, you see it before it becomes a story. When a driver pits, you see where they rejoin. In qualifying, the map shows the traffic that decides whether a final lap is clean.
Map and timing together
Because the map sits under the live timing leaderboard, you get positions, gaps and the picture of the track in one view. On a computer, the desktop web app adds a circular driver tracker that shows the gaps around the lap at a glance.
Live map or driver tracker?
Searching for an F1 tracker? You get both here. The track map shows where every car is on the circuit. The circular driver tracker, on desktop, lays the cars out around the lap so you can read the gaps at a glance.
